Profile

I am a part time technical Officer working in Science and Information division under the direction of Mr A.J.M. Hopkins. My work involves technical support for botanical projects principally in the Bio-Conservation Group. I am also involved in the monitoring of flora and weeds on Woodvale Reserve for management purposes.

  • Flora of Tutanning Nature Reserve and the mallee shrublands of Stirling Range National Park.

Brief Curriculum Vitae

I have a Bsc in Biology from Murdoch University.

I first joined CALM as a temporary technical assistant with the Metropolitan Region office in July 1988. In October 1988 I was appointed as a permanent part time Technical Officer, job sharing with Judith Harvey. My current classification is level 3/4.

Before joining CALM I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in Environmental Science at Murdoch University, Research Assistant with Kings Park Board and Technical Assistant with Samson Engineering.

I have also been involved over the intervening years in plant survey work through the Department and with the Wildflower Society of Western Australia.

  • Effects of fire on plant species and communities at Tutanning Nature Reserve.
